Celebrating Historic Achievements at the Asian Championships.

Dear Friends,

“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, sacrifice, and most of all, love of what you are doing.”

These words resonate profoundly as we reflect on the extraordinary achievements of our Indian Roller Skating Team at the Asian Championships. Hard work, indeed, bears the sweetest fruit, and today, we stand witness to the glorious harvest of our collective dedication, unwavering vision, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

It fills me with immense pride to reflect on a time when even a couple of international medals brought us great joy. Today, however, the fruits of our meticulous planning and relentless dedication have elevated Indian skating to unprecedented heights. The ongoing Asian Championships have been a testament to this remarkable journey, and it is my honor to share these milestones with you.

Today marked the second day of medal events, and our skaters have scripted history across disciplines. In speed skating, our athletes achieved a glorious double triumph: Anand Kumar, and Aryan Pal secured Gold and Silver medals in the same 500m + D race, setting a new benchmark. Meanwhile, Dhanush Babu, one of our finest skaters, continued India’s medal tally by clinching silver in the Senior Men’s 200m Dual TT.

Our junior skaters, Aniruddh and Ruvta Prakash, made a spectacular debut at the Asian Championships, seizing bronze in the 500m + D event. Their thunderous entry heralds a bright future for Indian speed skating.

In roller hockey, both our men’s and women’s teams delivered electrifying performances. The Indian women’s team etched their name in history with a staggering 62-0 victory over Hong Kong, while the men’s team dominated China with a 32-0 win, asserting their supremacy. Both teams now lead their respective pools.

Additionally, our inline freestyle skaters showcased commendable performances, while the artistic team, inline hockey team, and roller derby athletes demonstrated rigorous preparation and flair on the rink. Earlier this evening, the Indian team also participated in the opening ceremony with great enthusiasm.

These achievements are not merely medals; they are the embodiment of passion, discipline, and the indomitable spirit of Team India. Let us celebrate this moment and carry the momentum forward.

A Moment of Pride
As Mahatma Gandhi wisely said, “Satisfaction lies in the effort, not in the attainment. Full effort is full victory.” Today, every drop of sweat, every moment of sacrifice, and every ounce of perseverance has culminated in a victory that belongs not just to the skaters, but to every individual who believed in this dream.

We are thrilled to share photographs and videos of these unforgettable moments with you. Let us cherish this triumph and continue striving for greater heights

With warm regards and gratitude,
