Continued Glory at the Asian Championships – Medals, Milestones, and Valuable Lessons.

Dear Friends,

“The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will.” – Vince Lombardi.

It is with immense pride that I share yet another day of remarkable achievements by our Indian Roller Skating Team at the Asian Championships. Our medal tally continues to grow, reflecting not just skill, but the unyielding spirit of our athletes. Today’s results are a testament to their perseverance, and I am honored to recount these moments of triumph with you.

“Speed Skating: Silver Streak & Lessons Learned”
Today, our speed skaters added two more Silver Medals to India’s tally:
– Bhavya Bajaj – Silver Medal
– Velu Anand – Silver Medal

While we celebrate these victories, we also acknowledge a bittersweet moment—a gold medal was within our grasp, but a technical foul (due to lane infringement) led to disqualification. As Thomas Edison once said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” This setback is not an end, but a lesson. We will rigorously address this issue to ensure such errors never recur, turning today’s disappointment into tomorrow’s dominance.

“Freestyle Skating: Golden History Repeats!”
The indomitable “Shreya Joshi”, our Golden Girl, struck Gold yet again in the Freestyle Battle event, marking a historic first for India—two gold medals in Freestyle Skating at a single championship! and that too by an individual skater. Her brilliance inspires us all.
– “Champions keep playing until they get it right.” – Billie Jean King.

The Freestyle events concluded today, with all our skaters delivering exceptional performances and improving their rankings. Their progress is a promise of even greater feats ahead.

Roller Hockey: Unstoppable Force.
– Indian Women’s Team dominated china with a staggering 25-0 victory.
– Senior Men’s Team outplayed New Zealand 5-1.
– Junior Boys secured a resounding 35-0 win against china .

Inline Hockey, Roller Derby & Artistic Skating: Grit and Progress
Despite strong performances, our Inline Hockey teams narrowly missed victory—but their fighting spirit remains unbroken. Meanwhile, our Women’s Roller Derby team dedicatedly trained, chasing future glory. In a standout achievement, our Artistic Skating Team has cleared the qualification rounds and now advances to medal contention!

India’s Officiating Excellence: Referees Shine on the Global Stage
Beyond our athletes, India’s presence is also felt through our esteemed international referees, who are officiating with distinction:
– Roller Hockey: Mr. Rajesh Anand & Smt. Praveen Kaur.
– Speed Skating: Professor P K Singh.
– Artistic Skating: Shri Pradeepak Malvai.

Their professionalism and expertise have earned widespread admiration, reinforcing India’s growing influence in global skating.

A Glimpse of Today’s Triumphs:

As Swami Vivekananda said, “Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life—think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body be full of that idea.” Our skaters embody this philosophy, and their journey is far from over.

With gratitude and unwavering belief in our team,
