Day 2 Report: Asia-Oceania Club Championship – Lishui, China.
I am pleased to provide you with the update for Day 2 of our championship campaign in Lishui, China.
Our contingent is now at full strength following the safe arrival of our final two team members yesterday.
Today also marked a historic milestone for our program at the tournament’s official Opening Ceremony. For the very first time, our player, Monish Yarlagadda, represented our team in the prestigious Inline Hockey All-Star Game. Our teams delivered outstanding performances on the rink today across all fixtures:
Roller Hockey (Girls’ Team): Secured a phenomenal and dominant victory, winning their match with a resounding 47-00 scoreline. Roller Hockey (Boys’ Team): Displayed immense grit and character in an incredibly tough and highly competitive match against Australia. Inline Hockey (Boys’ Team): Delivered a brilliant, high-tempo performance to cap off an excellent day of matchplay.
In addition to competitive action, our athletes capitalised on a valuable development opportunity today. They interacted with elite European players, coaches, and international technical officials present at the championship, gaining crucial technical insights and tips to further elevate their game.
