Day 5 Report: Asia-Oceania Club Championship – Lishui, China 

I am writing to share the update for Day 5 of our campaign in Lishui, China, focusing on our team’s activities and travel planning during the ongoing tournament suspension.
In strict compliance with the active safety advisory regarding Typhoon Dolphin, our contingent spent the day safely indoors. The players utilized this time to bond and interact with athletes from other international teams staying at our hotel, fostering great sportsmanship and camaraderie.
Strategic Athlete Exchange Initiatives:
During these inter-team interactions, we actively explored long-term development opportunities for our players. We engaged in deep discussions regarding athlete exchange programs, focusing on two key possibilities:
a) Securing opportunities for our players to represent international clubs abroad.
b) Inviting elite overseas club players to compete alongside our teams in India.
Moving forward, we plan to discuss these strategic initiatives with senior and experienced dignitaries of the Federation to build a concrete roadmap. This vision aims to provide our athletes with continuous, high-level international exposure.
Travel Logistics and Contingent Safety:
Due to severe transport disruptions caused by the typhoon, both our Roller Hockey Men’s (Boys’) and Ladies’ (Girls’) teams remain safely stationed at the hotel.
We are in constant communication with the local hosts, event organizers, World Skate Asia, and local administrative authorities. As soon as weather conditions improve and travel clearance is issued, we will immediately execute the pre-arranged logistics to ensure the safe and smooth return journey of both teams.
