With each passing day at the Asian Championships, our Indian Roller Skating Team continues to inspire us by scaling new heights of performance. Today’s events brought moments of triumph, lessons in resilience, and heartwarming displays of sportsmanship that I am honored to share with you.
Speed Skating: Bronze Brilliance & Near-Misses
– Our Senior Girls’ team clinched a well-deserved Bronze Medal, adding yet another jewel to India’s tally.
– The Junior Boys’ and Girls’ relay teams left spectators awestruck with their electrifying performance. Though they narrowly missed the podium (finishing 4th), their effort was nothing short of championship-worthy.
– “The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses – behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights.” – Muhammad Ali.
With this, all Speed Skating rink events have concluded, marking the end of an extraordinary campaign for our speedsters.
Roller Hockey: Junior Boys Dominate
Our Junior Boys’ team delivered a commanding 9-1 victory against Macau, showcasing precision and teamwork that promises an even brighter future for Indian hockey.
Inline Hockey: Girls Shine Against Iran
The Junior Girls’ team triumphed over Iran with a stellar performance (score: 6- 2 ), proving that determination can overcome any challenge.
Artistic Skating: Strong Start
In the Short Program (Day 1 of Artistic events), our skaters performed with grace and technical mastery, securing their spots for the next round. Their artistry on wheels continues to captivate judges and audiences alike.
Roller Derby: Senior Women Train with Purpose
The Senior Women’s Roller Derby team intensified their practice sessions today, leaving no stone unturned in their quest for podium finishes. Their discipline embodies the spirit of “Sweat today, shine tomorrow.”
Beyond Competition: Camaraderie & Global Recognition
– Joy in Unity: Our athletes are not just competing – they’re thriving, bonding, and embracing this journey with infectious enthusiasm.
– Diplomatic Triumph: Team India enjoyed a productive interaction with World Skate Asia’s Executive Members, who praised our progress and extended warm wishes for future success. This exchange highlighted India’s growing influence in global skating.
