World Skate Games 2026: Historic Medals for Girls’ Relay and Velu Anand Kumar, Massive Victory Against Host Nation Paraguay, and Safe Return of Inline Freestyle Team!
Dear Champions and Supporters,
I am absolutely delighted to bring you another wave of thrilling updates directly from the ground here in Asunción, Paraguay, as our athletes continue to deliver stellar performances!
Here are the key highlights and performance updates from today’s developments: • Dominant Victory on the Inline Hockey Rink: It has been an exceptional day for our hockey squads. In a thrilling showcase of skill and strategy, our Senior Men’s Inline Hockey team secured a phenomenal victory by defeating the host country, Paraguay, with a massive goal margin! Simultaneously, our Girls’ Team is displaying fantastic form and playing exceptionally well on the floor.
• Historic Medals on the Track: We are thrilled to share two monumental achievements from our skating contingent today. First, it brings us immense joy to announce that our Girls’ Relay team has won a historic Bronze medal. This is a massive milestone for us, marking the first time our Girls’ Relay team has secured a medal at the World Championship! Junior Women team. Rutva Prakash, Pragathi Shivabalan. Charita Sri Madepudi, Lakshita Ranjith Kumar Sinthu.Additionally, our Indian World Champion, Velu Anand Kumar, continued his victorious campaign. Building on his previous bronze medal, he put up a phenomenal performance in a spectacular, hard-fought race, improving his standing to claim the Silver medal in an incredibly close microsecond finish.
• Speed Skating Resilience Amid Weather Delays: Unpredictable, continuous rainfall remains a challenge here, forcing regular postponements of several speed disciplines. However, despite these weather interruptions, our speed skaters are showing true champion grit. Whenever the weather permits an event to be conducted, our athletes are rising to the occasion and delivering strong, commendable performances on the track.
• Inline Freestyle Team Safely Home: On the logistical front, we are happy to inform everyone that our Inline Freestyle team has officially wrapped up their campaign and has safely landed back in India, sound and secure.
• Accommodation and Arrangements Update: As mentioned in my previous updates, the city is experiencing heavy, unpredictable spells of rain. This downpour has caused minor inconveniences and slight discomfort at our accommodation. However, please rest assured that the overall management, hospitality, and administrative arrangements remain absolutely flawless and perfect.
The team spirit remains incredibly high, and we have full faith that our athletes will bring home even more medals as they continue to give everything to keep the Indian flag flying high. We will continue to bring you live, day-to-day updates on the upcoming schedules and match results as the action unfolds!
Thanks & Regards,
